The Strategic Cooperation Signing Ceremony Between Yantai Biomedical Group and Shandong Medical and Pharmaceutical University Was Successfully Held
In the vibrant, burgeoning month of June, on the morning of June 16, the signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation agreement between Yantai Biomedical Health Industry Development Group and Shandong Medical University was held with great fanfare at the conference center of Haijing Tower. Around 60 attendees were present, including Sun Xiangjun, Party Secretary of Shandong Medical University; Tian Geng, Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President; Chu Hangzheng, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of Yantai Guofeng Investment Holding Group; Sha Junming, Party Branch Secretary, Chairman and General Manager of Yantai Biomedical Group; as well as representatives from both sides and heads of enterprises based in the park.
In his speech, Chu Hangzheng noted that Blue Medicine Valley · Life Island is a flagship park invested and built by Yantai Biomedical Group to implement the city’s “1+3+X” biomedical industrial spatial layout within the core area for life science innovation. He stressed that Yantai Biomedical Group and the enterprises in the park have long maintained close ties with Shandong Medical University, laying a deep foundation of cooperation and yielding fruitful results in industry-academia-research integration. Years of working side by side have fostered a high degree of mutual trust, providing a solid basis for this strategic partnership. The cooperation is down-to-earth and follows a clear implementation path, focusing on three key areas: jointly building distinctive industry platforms, deepening university-enterprise research collaboration, and improving the talent cultivation system, so as to promote two-way circulation and mutual empowerment of faculty, talent and technology.

At the event, agreements on industry-university collaborative R&D projects and on talent cooperation—including the appointment of Deputy Technology Officers and Technology Advisors—were also signed, and letters of appointment were presented to newly engaged Industry Professors and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Mentors.
